Things that Happen on the T
1. There is s track fire, and you are late.
2. There is a switching problem, and you are late.
3. Beggars asking for spare change.
4. People with massive luggage, especially backpacks, rubbing you with it.
5. Air conditioning that is working in winter.
6. Air conditioning that is not working in summer.
7. Wondering if dogs are allowed when seeing one.
8. Trying to take a picture of some weird-looking person on a train and then being caught red-handed (and then experiencing their stare for the rest of a journey).
9. Someone will spill their DD coffee and will say it was your fault.
10. A severe lack of oxygen on the Green Line (especially after a game at Fenway).
11. You automatically dislike the Silver Line, because it is a bus.
12. You will go through the gate, forget something, and then will have to wait 20 min to enter back with your monthly pass.
13. First, passengers leave a train, and then passengers enter the train. You will see this rule broken million times per day.
14. Unexpected shuttle service due to some repairs. It will take you 10 minutes more to get to your destination, and you might need to wait outside in that winter weather.
15. "Standing by” on the Green Line.
16. A train you catch when you are late will stop at every station for 2 minutes for a schedule adjustment.
17. Getting yelled at by the Green Line operator or watching some other passenger and the operator yelling at each other.
18. Stories of cats living under the rails at [insert a name of the station], but you never see them.
19. Shadowboxing is way too common.
